Introduction Tour: 3:30 pm
We begin with an introduction by farmer Alyn Bermúdez to the agroecological permaculture farm. On the 6.8 acres of land, they receive once a year the Metzteopoxchikaualiz Atabeyra Moon Dance, a ceremonial, ritualistic and philanthropic meeting where they share with Grandmothers, leaders of other indigenous communities of America. This ceremony taken from the Mexican Codices, gathers in Boriké 150 men and women, families that carry an individual and collective prayer, for our bodies, our families, our land, the Plants and all humanity. For the past three years, the farm has been in a process of resilience to raise the structures and food production to levels before Hurricane Maria. The creation of food forests is directed and designed by the expert Jeffrey Glogiewicz, who will be the speaker during this visit.
